The Registry Office is responsible for the civil register and matters governed by the Personal Status Law. It is thus an
important contact point for all citizens.
This is where people get married or enter into civil partnerships, where paternity is recognised, and all sorts of certificates to do with births, marriages and deaths are
issued. The Registry Office responsible for you will also deal with formal exits from the church.
